Our Inspiration

As a non-profit organization that works towards taking action and spreading awareness regarding pressing environmental issues, we try to engage a broad range of local youth, the future environmental leaders of the world. Thus, EcoHacks was born!

While environmental issues can be tackled physically, utilizing modern technology to the fullest extent may be the key to finding long-term eco-friendly solutions. Ecohacks is a hackathon – a thinktank and competition aimed to encourage youth to solve some of the pressing environmental issues we face today by utilizing computer software in new and innovative manners. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for individuals and teams of students across the GTA to come together and create innovative methods to combat problems impacting the environment.
